Stateside Associates seeks a detail-oriented and organized Marketing Associate (or Senior Associate) to join the marketing and communications team at a fast-growing state and local government relations firm in Arlington, VA. This role will assist the Director of Marketing & Communications in monitoring the effectiveness of marketing efforts by providing ongoing support and implementation of Stateside Associates' brand strategy.

This role requires the ability to work efficiently while overseeing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in all or some various marketing functions, including copywriting, content, branding, and social media.

Content:

  • Website copy updates as approved
  • Manage the fulfillment of Weekly & Monthly eNewsletters
  • Assist with and organize logistics for promotional webinars, workshops, etc, (where appropriate)

 

Design:

  • Create marketing graphics utilizing branded templates for social, email, and videos
  • Assist with customizing marketing materials for current and prospective clients, including proposals, contracts, PowerPoint presentations, etc

 

Digital:

  • Manage social media schedule and posts (as directed)
  • Build promotional emails in Constant Contact for deployment (as needed)

 

Business Development:

  • Assist with maintaining our CMS platform, Monday.com, in collaboration with the Business Development and Client Services team
  • Oversee data transition from CMS and lead forms to our email marketing platform, Constant Contact

 

Reporting:

  • Conduct research and prepare reports on clients, prospects, competitors, industries of interest, and market trends (as directed)
  • Tracking and reporting for social media and email
  • Assist in tracking business in collaboration with Business Development and Client Services team
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Social media management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Hootsuite)
  • Experience in designing in Canva, InDesign, or Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM tools highly preferred, but not required (e.g., Constant Contact, Monday.com)
  • Excellent writing skills required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related software
  • Must be a multitasker with the ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks with high level of initiative.
  • Have a collaborative and team-oriented spirit
