Purpose of Division:
The Procurement Division is responsible for the centralization of all procurement activities for the organization. Part of this process includes: planning, managing, and advising executive leadership of the Corporation; staffing and developing integrated acquisition strategies and processes to support NeighborWorks’ Program mission.
Position Summary:
The Senior Specialist, Procurement shall provide guidance to stakeholder teams, while also ensuring consistency across NeighborWorks America and the procurement department. The senior specialist will be responsible for working with internal program offices to determine procurement process and compliance requirements. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Procurement.

Required Minimum Qualifications
(a) Education: A Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, economics or finance related field. (b) Experience: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in federal government contract management or strongly related field. (c) Licenses, Certifications: None. (d) Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
(e) NeighborWorks America Staff are expected to demonstrate excellence in the following:
(f) Technology: Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with MS SharePoint and Project. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Experience working with financial software such as NetSuite and PeopleSoft. Interest in developing professionally to obtain CPCM/CFCM/CCCM certifications. Working Conditions: (a) Travel: Up to ten percent (10%). (b) Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast paced working environment, extensive computer usage. Special Provisions Occasional work outside of normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings is required.
