Description

Qualified applicants should have at least 5 years of ramp operations experience, with emphasis on aircraft weight and balance, aircraft loading, and passenger operations. As an authorized representative of OAI, the selected candidate will undergo on-the-job and computer-based training in order to gain proficiency in the duties and standards listed below. Domestic and international travel will be required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Supervise the performance of all airside operational activities at the location to which they are assigned and ensuring strict adherence to OAI policies, FAA guidelines, and the laws of all governing agencies;. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Ensure the safety and security of OAI passengers, crew, and property while at the assigned work site
  • Prepare weight and balance data, collect and compile weight and load distribution data and transmit to flight crew
  • Coordinate all ground activity between the handling agent, vendors, and customer
  • Pre-plan the loading of baggage, cargo and mail, ensuring sufficient equipment is available prior to handling a flight
  • Supervise the loading/offloading of passengers and baggage on OAI aircraft
  • Ensure vendors (e.g. catering, cleaning) are performing contracted services properly and are adhering to the regulations set by the company, competent local authorities, FAA and TSA
  • Provide Ground Security Coordinator support when required by assignment
  • Communicate flight data and delay information to System Control at OAI HQ
  • Verify aircraft is stocked with appropriate materials
  • Ensure appropriate local procedures are accomplished in timely manner for schedule integrity
  • Support Omni check-in staff and cabin crew in resolving customer complaints in accordance with Omni’s policies and applicable training
  • Communicate with baggage service office agents regarding mishandled baggage
  • Assist in facilitating crew movement through departure/arrival controls

    Omni Air International is looking for an aviation professional in the vicinity of El Paso International Airport and Biggs Army Airfield.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must hold a valid Passport
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be PC literate
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of Ramp Operations experience
