Solution Architect

A day in the life…

 

  • Develop positive relationships with Advizex Account Managers, Services staff, and Solution Architects in order to strategically drive new services business to targeted accounts within assigned region or territory.
  • Use knowledge of business, technology, service offerings, processes, industry expertise and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of Advizex solutions.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of Advizex OEM partner consumption solutions, HPE GreenLake and other partner subscription services, along with other relevant technologies to credibly and persuasively articulate the features and benefits of consuming IT as-a-service.
  • Interact with customer executives and sponsor level to provide project status, analysis, findings and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on as-a-service solutions that further assist customers with their business initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings in a pre-sales capacity to assist and provide real world examples while demonstrating knowledge and expertise in delivery of Advizex as-a-service offerings.
  • Provide input into services scoping, statements of work, and proposal development for as-a-service offerings.
  • Act as the lead on complex proposals; conduct final review, edit proposals and approve content
  • Be available for some travel, typically 20% of time or less, and typically limited to short-duration trips for customer appointments and longer trips for training and/or conferences.
 
Position Requirements

What we are looking for…

 

  • Proven ability to serve in a consultative pre-sales role with a focus on IT consumption programs and as-a-service offerings.
  • Proven technical sales experience with a track record of success.
  • Strong technical background, experience in a pre-sales technical role desired.
  • Experience serving in an advisory role to C-Level executives.
  • Must have highly effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry verticals, business & IT operations, IT finance, alignment of technology with business, and executive initiatives are paramount to success in this role.
  • Must be comfortable and able to effectively communicate and advise C-level executive leadership, directors, and other business leaders in strategies to achieve business goals by leveraging IT consumption models and as-a-service offerings.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or technology related field is preferred.

  • Ability to identify, assess, and match customer problems and goals with Advizex as-a-service and technology offerings.
  • Must possess an ownership mindset and bring together multiple Advizex teams to help drive customer initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Technical knowledge of HPE, Dell, and other data center solutions desirable.
  • Understanding of the HPE GreenLake program (or other similar industry programs) desirable.
  • Must be willing and able to learn and lead demonstrations of solution components such as HPE GreenLake Central.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform financial analysis such as ROI, TCO, and cloud cost estimates required.
  • Must be willing and able to speak publicly at conferences, Advizex hosted events, and other public events in front of potential clients and Advizex partners.
  • Must be willing and able to assist with business development and go-to-market initiatives with Advizex and its partners.
