Turning Point Community Programs is seeking an Intake Manager for our CRP- Rio Linda Program in Rio Linda. GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this position is responsible for the oversight of referrals and intakes for program services that seek to resolve the presenting problem and support the individual in returning to less intensive community settings as soon as possible. Directs the flow of admissions and manages the program census.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an at-will leadership position within a program. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff who perform the established duties of the program. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with referring hospitals and outpatient providers. Facilitates presentations for referral sources to encourage appropriate program referrals.
  • Supervises members of the team to ensure that referrals and associated processes are followed according to program best-practice, licensing, and county standards.
  • Coordinates intake functions with the Crisis Residential Programs, Intake Team, and all referral sources.
  • Conducts interviews in the community and makes recommendations for admission to the program.
  • Completes intake paperwork with clients upon admission to the program. 
  • Ensures that necessary documentation is received and processed from referral sources prior to client admission, including medication orders and medication. 
  • Participates in in-service training and workshops.
  • Assesses clients for involuntary hospitalization per WI 5150 and completes necessary forms (after completion of the County certification).
  • Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation.
  • Provides “on-the-spot” counseling that is both helpful to the clients and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
  • Conducts psychosocial groups, treatment planning, and discharge planning activities.
  • Ensures the safety, health, and well-being of the members.
  • Completes paperwork as assigned in a timely, thorough, and efficient manner.
  • Provides support to other staff members as needed.
  • Enforces the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
  • Attends community meetings to represent the Program as assigned.
  • Attends staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured from the Program Director.

  • Be well organized, flexible, and self-disciplined.
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate programs.
  • Get to multiple locations typically via car.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation: $31.00 - 33.48 per hour

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education, Training and Experience:

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work or related field and two (2) years varied experience as a provider of mental health services. Valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

  • Valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration 
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
