POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance position is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems as well as ensuring that all MWEC facilities are clean, organized and functional. Maintenance provides value in performing upkeep tasks such as repairs along with routine grounds keeping duties.

REPORTS TO: Property Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs general mowing and landscaping as needed/required.
  • Monitors building conditions and makes suggestions for repair and improvements that make the workspace more comfortable, as well as meets safety and required government regulations.
  • Moves/removes items in offices and lobby areas and helps store unused items.
  • Accepts delivery of as well as sets up office furniture and other supplies.
  • Maintains general building maintenance and upkeep, including carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
  • Maintains work orders and fleet management for company vehicles; coordinates requests for routine equipment and supplies.
  • Performs routine inspection of buildings to identify items that may need cleaning and repair.
  • Assists Property Manager and Central Management team on other projects as directed.
  • Successful candidate needs to be proficient in Microsoft products, including Outlook and TEAMS.
  • Work is performed in a healthcare environment - successful candidate must be willing to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and restrictions.
  • Successful candidate must be able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19, or be willing to file for a medical or religious exemption.
  • Overnight travel will be required as the need arises.
 
Position Requirements

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains compliance with the organization’s confidentiality policy in accordance to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Monitor MWEC processes to ensure compliance with the organization’s policies and with the guidelines set by relevant regulatory agencies.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with general electrical, plumbing, and construction skills preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):

  • Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing, Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Walking.
  • Physical requirements: Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Frequent travel in company vehicle is required. Employee must have a valid driver’s license with good motor vehicle record.
  • Working conditions:
    • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
    • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on ladders, exposure to chemicals, close quarters or passageways.
