ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Training Coordinator provides support to the Maintenance Training Department by coordinating the training records and qualifications for both internal and external students. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Responsible for the coordination and tracking of all Maintenance, Materials and Engineering training records.
  • Responsible for the coordination and tracking of all external training records including Service providers and Contractors.
  • Audits all Maintenance Training records on a continuous basis, and as requested by Manager of Maintenance Training
  • Coordinates and tracks all training as credited to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Awards program
  • Coordinates verification request of certificates from the FAA for maintenance personnel and independent contractors
  • Serves as communication liaison between other departments, Maintenance Stations, vendors and contractors to Manager of Maintenance Training and/or Maintenance Training Instructors as required
  • Coordinates and administers the Recurrent Training program via web based media or Learning Management System
  • Coordinates and administers the Training and Qualifications records for both internal and external learners including OJT or on the job training.
  • Distributes, revises, and standardizes training materials
  • Performs other duties as directed by Manager of Maintenance Training
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with no major moving violations within the past 3 years
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers on the telephone, in person, and group settings
  • Excellent writing skills (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to exhibit high level of confidentiality and reliability
  • Ability to exercise initiative in completion of tasks
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must report to work on a regular and timely basis

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5 years of Records, and/or Training related work experience preferred
  • Prior experience in an adult learning environment preferred

 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

  • Stand – 10%
  • Walk – 20%
  • Sit – 70%
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • May be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, kneeling, handling, climbing, and twisting
  • Set-up equipment/materials, and be able to store office materials overhead

 

MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and possess an impeccable attention to detail
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters and/or conduct routine oral communication
