FT Representative Payee- CSP, La Crosse 

Description

This position will:

  1. Provide reception services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness, including both in person and phone reception services. Utilize skills of support and customer service to assist clients. Use a multiple phone line system and other means of communication to take and relay messages to staff, as well as to coordinate matters needed to provide quality services to clients.
  2. Schedule appointments for the psychiatrist and provide phone reminders of appointments, as assigned.
  3. Provide administrative services to support the program in maintaining records in a way which meets DHS 63 requirements. This includes filing, organization of charts and documents needed for charts, record review, assistance with electronic record data entry and coordination, coordination of intake packets, and maintenance of CSP databases, as assigned.
  4. Function as backup to the GVC Receptionist, covering the lobby desk when the Receptionist is on lunch, in meetings, on vacation or out sick.
  5. Provide representative payee services to CSP clients. This includes maintaining accounting records, paying bills, setting up monthly budgets with clients in a collaborative manner, dispensing money/checks/bus passes directly to clients or to CSP staff, coordinating with community partners about bill payment arrangements as well as resource referral and following social security requirements for representative payees.
  6. Participate in CSP team meetings and required training.
 
Position Requirements
  1. Minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent. 500 hours of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness and experience with MA, insurance, medical/mental health billing, accounting, budgetary management, customer service and computers preferred.
  2. Clerical work experience and the ability and aptitude to provide high quality customer service are the predominant requirements.
