Job Summary

Responsible for driving delivery of project work and successfully tracking and running technologies Networking experience in partnership with the operations team and in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations. Driving projects, meetings, and commitments through organized project management. This position is responsible for creating organized, detailed and coordinated information for the field, which will result in superior technologies installations.

Essential Functions

  1. Directs all phases and activities of each project to achieve high quality and productivity in the work performed. Ensures all jobs or contracts are fulfilled to the customer's satisfaction and the Company has earned a fair profit.
  2. Plans, implements, independently manages and maintains all project activities to optimize efficiency of labor, materials, supplies, equipment and tools. Ensures all plans and specifications clearly and accurately identify project scope and milestones and are shared professionally with the appropriate parties.
  3. Prepares and manages timely and accurate project documents, estimates, projections, material release schedules, client information, project schedules, purchase orders, monthly invoices, payments, closeout documents, warranties, drawings, maintenance manuals, final billings, change orders, cost codes and other documentation to support construction project work.
  4. Documents Methods of Procedures (MOPs), prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
  5. Procures materials in a proactive and coordinated manner, working with the purchasing team to reduce the risk of material price fluctuations. Negotiates with vendors and distributors on availability and pricing of materials, completion of quotes and other necessary procedure details. Ensures all plans are maintained in the appropriate systems.
  6. Secures subcontractors utilizing standard subcontract agreements binding them to terms similar to Company contract requirements, thereby assigning the appropriate risk. Obtains permits as needed.
  7. Regularly attends project update meetings to stay current on job scope, schedules, administrative needs and market conditions.
  8. Provides day-to-day direction to project foreman and/or superintendent as needed to monitor productivity goals and build teamwork. Partners with project foreman to conduct jobsite inspections and assure accurate scope, placement and conformance with the contract documents and the Company's project quality assurance standards.
  9. Partners with foreman and all project team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of record drawings, project logs (including drawings and specification logs), RFIs, ASIs, change orders, inspections and testing, manuals, project commissioning and closeout activities.
  10. Provides frequent management and problem resolution consulting on issues ranging from misunderstandings, interpretations, conflicts, errors and personnel matters. Collaborates with other leaders and cross-functional departments to create solutions whenever needed. Maintains accurate documentation of all significant plans, resolutions and changes. Ensures all project and department milestones, procedures and goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
  11. Provides ongoing quality reviews and project communication with owners, contractors, designers, subcontractors, engineers, architects, field staff and other customers or stakeholders, addressing and resolving issues when needed.
  12. Anticipates changes and events that may impact construction project schedules, budgets or materials/service quality. Effectively coordinates and communicates these things to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  13. Builds effective relationships with customers, foremen, project team, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups and others that reflect and support the Company's core values and meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
  14. Implements LEAN concepts and methodologies for continuous improvement of design processes and activities. Educates others on LEAN approaches.
  15. Accurately and confidentially maintains Company records and other sensitive business and customer data.
  16. Supports the mission, vision and values of the Company and works creatively to best support the Company's long-term goals. Champions and models the Company culture at all times.
  17. Maintains compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  18. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies relevant to the industry.
  19. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
  20. Follows all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in project management, business administration, construction engineering/management or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle.
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with network operations.
  4. Cisco experience required.
  5. Comfortable with Excel and other data analysis tools and databases (Tableau).
  6. Experience with project delivery for large technologies projects.
  7. Trained and proficient in estimating techniques, negotiating, budgeting, costing, contracting, scheduling, pricing and common code requirements.
  8. Knowledge of and proficiency with construction methods and materials, costing, power, lighting, systems design and general industry safety standards, procedures and regulations.
  9. Work experience with LEAN methodologies and applications. Strong process orientation.
  10. Skills to read, interpret and understand contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  11. Demonstrated enthusiasm for expanding knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a dynamic technology office while directly contributing to the success of others.
  12. Customer focus, delegation, presentation and decision-making skills.
  13. Strong collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and facilitate diverse work teams.
  14. Strong organizational, critical thinking skills and detail orientation.

  19. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications.
  20. Holds a valid driver's license.
  21. Experience and Understanding of Network Equipment Install and IP Fabric for Media.
  22. Network Switch and Architecture for Devices.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Field experience with construction (e.g., electrical, technologies, fire, etc.).
  2. LEAN Certification.
  3. OSHA Certification.
