Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) 

About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

The primary function of the BCBA is to provide professional services to children affected by ASD who are receiving therapeutic services. The BCBA works as a team member in the delivery of services and as a promoter of MAC services and expansions. The BCBA works within a team of professionals to design, deliver, evaluate and report on the services being provided to MAC clients.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive behavior plans that allow each client the opportunity to excel among populations from birth through adulthood.
  • Consult with Clinical Supervisors to maintain quality of cases through ABA data analysis and collaborate on implementing data-driven program changes.
  • Participate in multiple service delivery settings (home, school, community, supervision, direct support, parent training).
  • Provide direct/indirect supervision to BCaBAs and RBTs within the organization
  • Conduct assessments and train support staff.
  • Participate in the development of social groups, program advocacy and behavior consulting.
  • Participate in workshops and train clinical professionals, staff, and parents to expand our client’s knowledge base.
  • Cultivate a culture of compassion, communication, excellence, creativity, and reliability.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the children and families/caregivers served by MAC according to professional ethical standards, state and federal rules and regulations and MAC’s internal policy and procedures.

Position Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Behavior Analysis emphasis preferred)
  • Must be a certified behavior analyst with a minimum of 1,500 hours of hands-on training or supervised experience in the provision of ABA services directly to individuals with autism under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has at least two years of experience in ABA programming for individuals with autism, and as a supervisor of less experienced clinicians.
  • Minimum of three years of applied experience working with special needs children, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
  • Must provide sufficient written evidence of training and/or education in the method of evidence-based therapy being delivered.
  • Proven leadership experience.
