Job Summary

The Manager, Game Presentation leads a team dedicated to producing the most engaging and exciting game presentation in baseball. In this role you will oversee the Pirate’s in-game presentation, ensuring that the team leverages innovative ways to engage our fans at PNC Park. In this role you be a brand ambassador responsible for inspiring and embracing a spirit of creativity, ingenuity, and adaptability.

This role will serve as the main field producer for all Pirates home games and required special events at PNC Park. This position will manage the Bucco Brigade, Pierogies, and other game day employees. The position will also manage the Pirates mascot game day schedule. Manager, Game Presentation will be responsible for scheduling, approving timesheets, payroll and managing presentation staff. This position will work with the Director, Game Presentation to help create a vision for a fun-filled, family oriented, state-of the-art approach to game entertainment at PNC Park. This person will need to be highly organized, detail oriented, with strong people management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Scheduling/Coordinating cross-functional meetings to make sure all departments are prepared for upcoming homestands and events.
  2. Responsible for booking and executing all on field experiences including but not limited to our group salute, parades, and mascot visits.
  3. Book and manage the on-field pre-game programming including but not limited to; pregame ceremonies, first pitch, and the national anthem for all Pirates home games.
  4. Serve as lead field producer during all homes games by communicating with control room producer to ensure inning breaks are run properly, serve as lead host producer, and create on-field scripts for Bucco Brigade, Mascot, and Hosts.
  5. Collaborate on scheduling production and manage overall production lists for all home games.
  6. Responsible for daily game day script changes including but not limited to; music changes (player music, promotional music, etc.), updating script for pre-game recognition content (i.e., color guard, singers, groups), and other pre-game recognition content.
  7. Update script with daily feature changes to promotions, marketing reads and video features.
  8. Assist control room group in any needed daily changes with visiting logos/lineups, CG graphics, and more.
  9. Serve as the liaison to event operations, group sales, corporate sales for any presentation needs on non-Pirates baseball events at PNC Park and serve as lead when producer when necessary.
  10. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  2. Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Must have experience producing on-field or assisting in show-calling for live events at the professional or collegiate level.
  4. Three (3) years of live production experience.

Desired:

  1. Knowledge and skill of control room equipment, ShoFlo scripting, and game rundowns.
  2. Strong understanding of Major League Baseball and production rundowns.
