United Mailing Services (U.M.S.) picks up and presorts mainly letter-size mail before it is presented to the U.S.P.S. We process first-class mail as well as project-driven direct mailings. We are part of a corporate network of 5 U.M.S. Bureaus throughout Wisconsin that sorts 2 million pieces of mail each day. This job requires the ability to work productively in different departments. The knowledge of how to process the mail within that department and when applicable, the knowledge of specific USPS mail preparation requirements including; accurately sweep mail into corresponding bins when working on the sorting equipment, distribute full mail trays/tubs to appropriate locations on the shop floor, package mail and label trays/tubs correctly for distribution to the USPS, and Load/unload mail trays/tubs from USPS All-Purpose Carriers/pallets. Process mail in one of our automation departments. This involves taking mail out of mail bins on our sorters as they fill up, putting mail into mail trays, making sure mail put into trays is accurately sorted, applying a label and staging mail to the proper location in the shop after it is sorted. Process mail in our metering department. The employee is responsible for understanding the functionality of metering equipment that applies postage to mail pieces incoming from our clients and its basic software. Also, quality control of work coming off metering equipment. The employee will be responsible for accurately inputting client profile information into the software as well as accurate set up of and completion of applying metered postage to each client. Accurate, detail-oriented work is to be produced to meet our nightly production deadlines. We would like (but do not require) this position to have the flexibility to drive one of our daily routes, occassionally, as needed. This could amount to about 1-3 hours during the shift. This position would then also qualify for a Driver Incentive premium as well. Hours: Monday through Friday 1:00PM-7:00PM (approx 30-33 hours per week) Wage: $13.00-$14.00 per hour Benefits: Profit Sharing Plan, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance   Position Requirements Ability to lift 10-15 lb containers repetitively. Good driving record Ability to work standing and/or walking a production line for the entire shift.
