The CNA will support the Frederick Living Mission of caring for and enriching the lives of older adults with the following essential responsibilities:

  • Perform resident care and Activities of Daily Living.
  • Perform Restorative Nursing Programs.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to Team Leader and/ or Nurse Supervisor.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and orderly environment for residents, self and staff.
  • Participate in resident Care Conferences and care plan review.
  • Collaborate with hall partners and other Cedarwood staff to ensure optimal care for residents.
  • Comply with Infection Control practices.
  • Conduct/ assist in resident life enrichment activities.
  • Maintain walkie-talkie on persons for effective call bell management and communication with team members.
  • Attend and complete all required in-services, training and Team Meetings.
  • Abide by the organizations code of conduct in the performance of their duties.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Ability to hear, feel, see, smell and speak adequately to perform essential functions of the job.

  • Ability to work in indoor/ outdoor environment.
  • Ability to operate in a high stimulation environment.

Along with an excellent work ethic, successful candidates will have:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program and obtains certificate within 120 days.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
