Treatment is based on the belief that, through a combination of medically managed care and therapeutic intervention and education, patients can learn to effectively manage their illnesses and cope with the effects on their lives.   Location Signature Psychiatric Hospital - Liberty   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift Various Shifts   Position Mental Health Tech II (CNA)   Description The Mental Health Tech II(MHT II) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, including supervising and overseeing outdoor smoke breaks during this time, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adult depending on which unit worked. MHTs work under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.   Position Requirements Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Experience: Previous related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness preferred. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of crisis intervention prevention provided during new employee orientation and prior to assisting with restraint procedures. May be required to work flexible and overtime hours. For Missouri Locations: Must also complete Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) training (both clinical practicum and classroom) as required per Missouri Hospital Licensure regulation 19 CSP 30-20.125.   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
