Kittitas Interactive Management (KIM) is here to support individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are to ensure that these individuals are treated with respect and dignity. We act as advocates for changes that can improve their care, their lives, and our communities. The primary role of the DSP is to act as frontline support for the clients in their daily living. Advocating for their rights, needs, and wants while acting as a safeguard for their property, finances, and the interests of the company.
That support can be in client’s homes, on outings and during activities in the community. Individual clients have unique needs and requirements that can include:
Assisting client with daily hygiene up to and including brushing teeth, bathing, hair washing, toiletry, etc.
Ensuring a safe and clean environment for our clients by doing households ADLS (i.e., chores, meals, removal of garbage, laundry, etc.)
Transport clients to and from all company activities.
Assist in client money management: Petty Cash, Receipts, Checkbooks, Running Balance, Money Envelopes, Inventory of Client’s Personal Property, etc.
We have an amazing team who needs to be able to depend on one another. Our clients deserve to be supported by staff who are compassionate, caring, and professional. That requires individuals who are ready to be committed to:
