Our History

eMDs was founded in 1996 by David Winn, MD, a board-certified family practice physician with a very strong business background who understood the value of having an integrated practice management system which helped physicians focus on patients while optimizing practice financials. Dr. Winn was dissatisfied with offerings on the market, and set out to create his own. The eMDs clinic was first implemented in 1998. Using our own practice management system meant we fully understood what it takes to create the perfect EHR system and why the company built our reputation upon being a highly usable system.

Many years later, we've retained the same values from our early days. We are dedicated to building the best integrated EHR and RCM systems and services. We focus on listening to our customers. And most importantly, we focus on making the practice of medicine enjoyable and fulfilling.

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to provide coordination and oversight for implementation of CGM Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management software products, along with ancillary products and addon features. The project manager serves as the primary liaison between CGM and the customer throughout the implementation cycle.


· Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of professional, technical, and/or administrative personnel (both employees and clients) in the implementation of a CGM software products.

· Acts as a liaison between all project stakeholders.

· Tracks, manages and integrates project plans and other documentation to realize corporate goals and objectives.

· Project initiation, project planning and estimating, monitoring progress and status reporting, project scheduling tracking and control, issues and risk management, controlling project scope, and change management.

· Manages project team duties, assigning individual responsibilities and coordinating activities.

· Ensure timely project completion, within scope and budget.

· Assures effective documentation.

· Organizes and manages all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.

· Manages project communication and providing accurate consistent reporting to other departments, managers, and the executive team regarding Project Status, Issues and concerns.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and automated project planning and project management software tool, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Physical Demands:

  • May require sitting or standing for long periods of time; also some stooping, bending, and reaching for files and supplies may be required.
  • Ability to see and hear sufficiently to conduct extended conference call and go-to-webinar sessions with customers.
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, answer a telephone and other office equipment as necessary.
  • Employee must participate to help maintain the desirable work environment created by the management and company officials.
