JOB TITLE: Room Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Room Attendant will understand the true meaning of customer service excellence and possess a superior work ethic enabling him/her to be a positive and effective team member.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness is achieved throughout the hotel?
Perform daily quality control inspections of bedrooms, common areas and storage areas?
Adhering to the property lost and found procedures?
Participating in training and continual development?
Performing other periodic cleaning schedules (carpet shampooing, curtains, washing windows, walls and ceilings etc.)?
Ensuring Sawridge standards are met throughout the department.?
Liaise with the Front Desk & Maintenance in regard to readiness of rooms with particular attention to guest’s special requirements including extra supplies or other items.
Ensure corridors and staff areas are cleaned according to hotel standards?
Inspect all rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues daily
Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
Dust furniture
Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Make beds and change sheets
Distribute clean towels and toiletries, Stock linen closet
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen fixtures and appliances
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Handle complaints
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
