Our comprehensive cardiology group is expanding and looking to add to our team.

Cardiac Solutions utilizes a personalized, team-oriented approach to patient care promoting wellness through education, innovation, and technology. Our focus helps to prevent the progression of heart disease and minimize patient hospital admissions. We offer intensive educational opportunities for patients through our disease management clinics and employ a multidisciplinary approach which includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacy support, medical assistants, and additional clinical and non-clinical support teams.

This position may also eligible for a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position plays a vital role in expediting communications between contracted facilities and in supporting the Provider's day-to-day hospital and office clinics

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Answers multi-line phone system and directs incoming calls to appropriate extensions and/or departments efficiently and effectively.
  • Answers emergent Physician and Hospital hotlines and handles communications based on Practice and departmental protocols.
  • Pages overhead calls, STAT assist, and CODE call to appropriate locations per protocols.
  • Enters outpatient procedures, inpatient and overnight consults into EMR system as outlined in Practice and department protocols.
  • Organizes and tracks allocations of consults for the physicians daily.
  • Communicates with Providers as necessary.
  • Monitors call list from answering service, for any missed overnight communications from contract facilities and addresses as necessary.
  • Prepares and distributes daily Provider allocation and office location schedule.
  • Prepares weekly schedule for Provider facility and emergent situation backup coverage.
  • Prepares weekly Provider schedules for morning observation rounding.
  • Retrieves voicemail messages and creates phone notes as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned and requested.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of business office procedures.
  • Skill in handling multiple phone lines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical office and terminology experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service/customer relations skills are a must
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
