Our goal is to grow together and enjoy the work that we do as a team.   Description VSolvit is seeking a Test Engineer with 2 - 4 years experience testing complex electrical surveillance systems to join our Test and Training Team to support the Integrated Base Defense - Sustainment Support with operations at  Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. We are looking for the individual to support test capabilities and internal testing for IBD Kitting, Entry Control Point, Non-intrusive Inspection System, Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System and Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance system. (IBD, ECP, NIIS, BETSS-C and RDISS) While this is a junior level test engineering role, you will learn from subject matter experts and leaders in the field of testing of security systems. You will devise testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors, and you will assist in answering questions from the Customer.  We are looking for motivated self-starters who want to join a team dedicated to excellence and continuous progress.  The successful candidate will support our customer’s test capabilities and internal testing for Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting, Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System – Combined (BETSS-C), Cerberus Scout, and Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), and other systems as requested by the customer.  The successful candidate will contribute to our joint Test and Training Team and will also perform tests associated with curriculum review as well as third tier Help Desk research. Primary Duties: •    Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components •    Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors •    Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel •    Provides technical support, testing, and advice to other engineering groups •    Assist in answering questions from the Customer and FSRs, log calls and solutions in COLTS •    Review and update curriculum to support multiple facets of the force protection system training program •    May on occasion travel to other CONUS or OCONUS locations to assist in unit training and site survey development for IBD-SS Systems •    Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: AA or AS degree 3-5 years experience as a Test Engineer 1-2 years experience in a similiar role Education Required: •    AA/AS + 3-5 yrs. experience  Security Clearance: •    • US Secret security clearance required Desired Qualifications: •    Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-quality environment •    Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service •    Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail •    Expertise using Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and •    SharePoint and familiarity with Jira.               Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: AA or AS degree 3-5 years experience as a Test Engineer 1-2 years experience in a similiar role Education Required: •    AA/AS + 3-5 yrs. experience  Security Clearance: •    • US Secret security clearance required Preferred Qualifications: 3 - 5 years' engineering test experience with test planning, scheduling, execution and reporting is required for this position.
