We are seeking mission-driven individuals to join our team, who will help us deliver a life of independence, relationships, and meaning to our participants.   Description Mission & Vision: The Chartwell Center became a program of Easterseals Louisiana in 2022.Easterseals Louisiana is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities achieve independence. The purpose of Chartwell is to aid individuals with autism spectrum and related disorders by providing educational services and therapy, and by offering training and support to parents, teacher, and other professionals. Founded in 1999 by concerned and dedicated parents, the school's goal is to help its students not only survive but thrive in the outside world. The Chartwell Center is a center is set up for elementary and high school age students with Autism. Our early intervention program implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children on the Autism Spectrum. Our center is looking for new team members who has any experience or interest- in teaching, psychology, working with children, or special needs services. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8-3:30 with 35 school holidays and 3 PTO days. We offer a range of benefits from medical to 401K. There is no travel necessary for this position and no lesson planning. One staff member works with one child to increase functional communication, adaptive behaviors, and social skills. Training and staff supervision are provided. We are looking for people who are creative, empathetic, able to follow plans for our students, and willing to commit to the 2022-23 school year! Job Description (include, but are not limited to): BCaBA Responsibilities: Oversee a team of up to 6 Behavior Technicians and clinical programs Support parent training and education Write progress reports and conduct regular team meetings Provide supervision in clinic and home settings Work closely with the school's BCBA to meet the instructional needs of our students receiving ABA services Assist the BCBA with data collection and analysis School Responsibilities: Model the school's values and core beliefs Set and work toward ambitious behavioral and vocational goals Use feedback from supervision to improve mentorship practices Meet weekly with team members to discuss current plans, barriers to progress, and potential solutions for increasing progress and guaranteeing treatment integrity Deliver community-based instruction and workplace oversight Collect and use observational data Engage families and community members in the learning process Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement and reinforce all components of a consistently positive, creative and solutions-oriented school culture   Position Requirements Requirements: Minimum one year experience working with children with autism Bachelor’s degree in related fields BCaBA certified Prior experience with applied behavioral analysis Demonstrated fluency with all aspects of the Behavior Interventionist position Demonstrated ability to train others Strong communication and writing skills Bilingual skills highly preferred, not required Qualifications: A commitment to fulfill the school’s mission and vision A passion for helping children and adults with learning differences Experience working with children and/or adults with autism Familiarity with lesson design and implementation The desire to be part of a true Professional Learning Community Flexibility, patience, perception and empathy A “Can-Do” attitude A strong desire to increase instructional efficacy by receiving and implementing feedback An unwavering commitment to help each of our young learners excel behaviorally, academically, emotionally and socially Easterseals Louisiana is a Drug-Free Workplace, pre-employment and random drug tests will be administered.
