All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Category Research & Development (R&D)   Description In this role, you will: Maintain device prototypes, test methods and fixtures Execute and revise test protocols and work instructions including benchtop and preclinical experiments Set up, qualify, and operate (when necessary) test equipment Obtain, tabulate, manipulate, store technical data from lab experiments Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical assemblies Provide support to other engineers Use creativity to circumvent lab challenges and issues Maintain the lab area by organizing engineering tools and ensure equipment is calibrated and test records are maintained   Position Requirements Essential Requirements: Skills in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical devices Ability to read, execute, and revise work instructions and test procedures Experience with analog, digital and, power electronics and mechanical test fixtures Capabilities with various forms of electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, voltage and current probes, digital multimeters) Writing and communication skills, organized Self-starter and life-long learner Team player and highly collaborative   Experience/Education: Technical degree or certificate 5+ years of experience as an R&D or Engineering Technician Knowledge of good laboratory practices and configuration management Experience working with medical devices (e.g., laser, ultrasound)       Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Sr. R&D Technician (In-Office)   Location Palo Alto (HQ)   About the Organization SCITON is an industry leader and manufacturer of medical aesthetic lasers and light source technologies.
