SUMMARY

This position serves as the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) expert for the organization and is responsible for working with all departments on how to increase efficiency through maximizing what our ERP has to offer. Critical and analytical thinking and statistical computer software skills are a must and will be relied upon to understand the company needs and implement the selected solutions. Candidate must be a highly motivated, positive, organized self-starter who can work well with a variety of tasks and adapt quickly to different business needs, projects, and deadlines. This individual will interact with all levels of sales, end user and management staff. The ERP Specialist also serves as the assistant and primary backup to the Administrative Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides basic and department-specific ERP training for new employees in all departments

Provides operational support for all departments including Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing and Accounting

Provides basic troubleshooting steps for technical issues users are having before passing them off to external helpdesk team

Understand and write detailed description of program functions, the steps required to use functions at an end-user level

Assist to prepare system document release notes, test plans, and use cases as well as creating and updating how-to and Standard Operating Procedures

Assist in researching changes in upcoming versions of internal business systems and other integrated applications; providing recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity

Preparing month end close accrual reports and performing close tasks

Collaborating with local finance, payroll, IT and HR Business partners

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BS) in the area of accounting or equivalent from four-year college or university; and four plus years ERP and computer experience in a manufacturing environment, including setting up new systems; ERP and report design software knowledge, advanced computer software skills including Business Intelligence software, Excel power user with strong editing and data manipulation skills, progressive experience in data extraction, structured in a useable simplified format.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to speak fluent English.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

The ability to concentrate for extended periods.

Possess a current driver’s license.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and balance multiple projects and deadlines.

Working knowledge of accounting methods/software.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (MS Office 365 Suite).

Working knowledge of costing methods/software.

Working knowledge of MRP methods/software.

Must be able to travel 5% of the time.
