Starting Pay: $26.6609 Hourly ($55,455)
After 1st Year: $27.4761 Hourly ($57,150)
After 2nd Year: $28.3267 Hourly ($58,920)
After 3rd Year: $29.2084 Hourly ($60,753)
After 4th Year: $30.1602 Hourly ($62,733)
After 5th Year: $31.1461 Hourly ($64,784)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in parks and recreation, community development, education, or related field -AND- two (2) years of experience in coordinating, developing, conducting, or managing programs.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid Michigan drivers license
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours
Obtain certified Playground Inspector certification within one year of hire
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assist with a variety of complex program administration, public relations, educational, financial, and volunteer supervision tasks to accomplish the mission and goals of the Keep Genesee County Beautiful program (KGCB); Assist in maintaining the Keep America Beautiful affiliate in good standing with Keep America Beautiful; Serve as a contact and program resource person for KGCB; Works under the supervision of the Recreation Programs and Grants Officer.

STATEMENTS OF TASKS:
Assist the daily operations of KGCB;
Create, plan develop and implement programs for a diverse audience;
Assist with writing, administering, and implementing grants;
Assist with accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting requirements;
Prepare and maintain program budgets;
Work independently on assigned projects;
Coordinate the work of seasonal staff;
Supervise volunteers;
Recruit, train, and support volunteers;
Participate in programs as assigned;
Accurately prepare and maintain necessary records and produce reports;
Represent KGCB by attending and/or giving presentations at local and national meetings;
Assist in marketing and promoting;
Develops and maintains accurate project cost estimates;
Required to regularly drive to sites within the City of Flint and Genesee County.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the community;
Knowledge of program development, implementation, and evaluation;
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the public and staff;
Ability to carry out complex written and oral communications;
Ability to assess and respond to emergency situations;
Ability to read, write and be physically able to perform the work;
Ability to use of social media;
Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point;
Ability to effectively manage budgets;
Ability to attend work regularly & work in stressful situations;
Ability to be courteous in dealing with the public and fellow staff members.
