Location: The director will cover our West and Northwest regions - various locations.
What You Will be Doing
We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. This Director of Community Services provides overall direction and leadership to the operations of the community-based IDD (Intellectual and Development Disabilities) services serving children, adolescents, and adults with complex needs. The Director directs the following programs:
- Respite: Residential & Crisis Stabilization
- Adult Day & Vocational
- Employment
- Non-Medical Transportation
The Director is responsible for creating an atmosphere that provides for continuity of quality services and clear direction and expectations for all employees related to the company's mission. The Director implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems, and strategic goals the senior management team set forth while maximizing the highest level of customer service to the community, client families, clients, and referral sources.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is directly responsible for managing all staff employed within the Respite and Adult Service Department in the assigned region.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with business or program-related fields.
- At least ten years of full-time paid work experience in business management and the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities which includes responsibility for the following functions: personnel matters, supervision of employees, program services, and fiscal management.
- Excellent computer skills — including spreadsheets and word processing tools — and the ability to learn innovative programs expeditiously.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree.
- Fifteen or more years of experience in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which includes responsibility for the following functions: personnel matters, supervision of employees, program services, and fiscal management.
- Experience with Advisor software.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications
- Current Ohio mental health professional license including LSW, LPC, LMFT, LISW, LPCC, LIMFT, PSY, LIMFT-S, LISW-S, or LPCC-S.
