Share Email Opening Title Recovery Career Counselor  Description Seeking to hire a full-time Employment Specialist for the Pathways to Recovery program   Job summary Provides education / job coaching and case management services to Bergen County consumers affected by the opioid epidemic Develops and implements an individualized employment plan to assist consumers with their career objectives Completes initial and ongoing assessments through regular contact with clients to evaluate changing needs and progress towards goals. Such contact consists of home visits, telephone conferences, office visits, and visits to other community locations Work collaboratively with the One Stop Career Center Liaison to ensure WIOA registration Identifies training needs of consumers and assists with enrollment into approved training programs Provides case management services to consumers to assist with supportive services to remove barriers to training and/or employment Provides job development services to consumers and employers Successfully places consumers into competitive employment opportunities Provides on-going support until consumer is terminated from program Attends all programmatic meetings (whether internal or external), trainings, and events as required. Coordinates and markets program services to community groups, organizations, consumer groups and families Documents all interactions with consumers in the consumer record in accordance with Agency policy and procedures Utilizes own vehicle for outreaches when not transporting clients Transports clients as needed in agency vehicle   Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline from an accredited college or university One (1) plus years’ experience in mental health, substance abuse, crisis intervention, job coaching and job development preferred Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance     CPNJ embraces a culture of diversity and inclusion in all of it policies and procedures.
