JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity with a heavy emphasis full cycle talent acquisition and talent management, i.e. sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, training and development and onboarding. Works in close collaboration with company and site leaders as well as the HR Team to ensure positions are filled with qualified candidates to meet the needs of the business.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations (to include OFCCP, Affirmative Action, EEO regulations) affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Source, recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions
  • Provide company information and job opportunities to potential applicants
  • Administer and maintain pre-employment and new hire paperwork to include assessments, drug testing, background and reference checks, I-9 and e-verifications
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and manage administration of the Applicant Tracking System
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Administer and track pools of temporary/contract employees
  • Keep records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
  • Respond to various employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and oversee exit interview process to determine reasons behind separations
  • Run reports from human resources databases as requested, prepares monthly HR Activity reports
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Does not directly supervise others but has supervision of a specific business function
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICTIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 1-2 years of HR Generalist experience to include full lifecycle, high volume recruiting in both technical (STEM) as well as executive environments
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% required
  • Experience working in the food industry strongly preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems to include data queries, collection, evaluation, organizing and analysis of data
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy to include social media
