Job Title : Community Trainer/Clinician

Department : Bergen Trauma Treatment Center (BTTC)

Summary of Position – Assists Project Director in outreach activities, trainings, and provides trauma-informed supervision. Linked with a community-based partner to provide consultative outreach, supervision, and case review services. Assures departmental goals and/or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame by performing the job responsibilities personally.

Responsibilities - Although each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, the following listing applies to every employee of CarePlus New Jersey:

  • Works toward accomplishing and adhering to department/Agency goals, ethical standards and the laws and regulations which govern the overall mental and healthcare industries
  • Maintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentiality
  • Practices job requirements on an accurate, timely and regular basis
  • Observes and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with clients, co-workers and supervisors
  • Attends all scheduled meetings as assigned
  • Meets relevant continuing educational/training requirements
  • Completes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established time-frames
  • Accurately and on a timely basis completes tasks required by the Agency’s time collection system
  • Fulfills all CPNJ mandatory requirements, as required by CPNJ
  • Knowledgeable of, and practices the organization’s health and safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to fire safety and emergency preparedness, infection control procedures and incident reporting
  • Must have the ability to conduct intervention(s) with appropriate individuals, family, group and/or entities
  • Must have the ability to conduct client centered advocacy; the service of providing functions on behalf of individuals, families or groups to bring about or influence change to improve the quality of life, enhance empowerment and assure the basic rights of the client
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of adult stages of growth and development
  • Ability to assess history, assessment, family information, in the context of adult development in formulating diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Ability to engage family members in decision-making related to adult treatment planning

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s from in social work or related field from an accredited four-year college or university; administrative and supervisory experience; training experience; knowledge of local services applicable to population served; experience in running meetings or making presentations; experience in coordinating a community outreach program
  • Professional licenses (e.g. LCSW, LPC, LCADC)/certification (e.g. CADC)
  • A valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance
