Sawdey Solution Services is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to identify and interpret customer needs and design technical and operational solutions to meet those needs. As a Solution Architect you will apply your expertise to analyze complex situations and utilize problem-solving abilities to provide preaward design and coordination with the opportunity Capture Manager and Proposal Team.

 

We are seeking a Solution Architect to work at our corporate office in Beavercreek, Ohio but will consider remote locations.

 

Description:

The Solution Architect will serve as a subject matter expert in the development of solutions for Government and DoD customers.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Anticipate and uncover customer challenges, then solve them by applying expertise and developing custom solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Perform customer focused assessments on processes/situations to identify customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and leverage these technologies in the development of custom solutions.
  • Participate in previous award analysis activities.
  • Analyze PWS or SOW requirements and conduct storyboard activities for proposal response.
  • Apply creative thinking to solving problems/developing and documenting technical solutions.
  • Participate in the overall proposal development process, to include the assertion of:
    • Win themes;
    • Technical solutions;
    • Staffing plans; and
    • Pricing strategies.
  • Establish teaming strategy including proposal development and pricing strategy aspects of team members.
  • Mentor and guide team members in solutioning activities.
  • Assist with proposal development.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Ten (10) + years experience in Requirements Analysis.
  • Ten (10) + years recent Proposal Development experience; specific government contracting experience required.
  • Ten (10) + years Information Technology experience preferred in one or more of the following: System Architecture, IT Architecture, Computer System Integration, Network Engineering, Cyber Security, or System Administration.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience with government, military, or onsite government contractor experience.
  • Previous storyboarding experience.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Cybersecurity preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business will be considered based on related experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PMP certification desired.

 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Teams and other online meeting and collaboration programs.
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who can provide results through excellent time management skills.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication/presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Well-developed systems engineering and decision-making skills are required, including the ability to differentiate between critical vs. non-critical requirements.
  • Ability to present complex issues in clearly written language, ability to use diagrams, tables, or figures to improve the presentation of proposed technical solutions.
  • Must have high initiative and bea self starter.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have Proofreading skills.
  • Must be able to articulately and concisely develop and convey complex message.
  • Must work well under tight time constraints.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage workload for proposal team.

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:

  • While the vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors is still being decided, we are continuing to collect vaccination record cards and accepting requests for legal accommodations (approval of a legal accommodation is not guaranteed). Although providing this documentation is not required at this time, we appreciate your cooperation in voluntarily providing this documentation to us should the Executive Order be upheld in the courts.

 

Security Clearance:

  • Secret security clearance preferred.

 

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
