Compensation Range = $25 \hr

Position Summary:

As the Human Resources Coordinator at Edgewood Tahoe, you are responsible for the HR generalist support of the day-to-day Human Resource operations. Your role performs duties at a professional level and works closely with the HR Team in some or all the following functional areas: administrative, recruiting/employment, on-boarding, training, benefits administration, and policy implementation. Must practice and act as an advocate for both team members and the Edgewood business. The most important characteristic of our team is that we love inspiring lasting memories for our guests. Essential Functions:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries and distributes the information appropriately.
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and team member walk-up requests & inquiries for the HR department.
  • Interact with and supplies information to job applicants, Team Members, and department leaders.
  • Perform HRIS data entry and Team Member data integrity oversight.
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Coordinate all internal HR communication through boards, Team Member portal, television, etc.
  • Facilitates oversight of Payroll log and Pay Card practices for Team Members.
  • Assist Team Members and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide clerical and operational support to Human Resource team.
  • Partners with HR Leader on key projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process with Talent Acquisition team.
  • Assist with on-boarding process, to include: I-9 documentation, e-Verify, background checks, timeclock set-up, new hire packets, The Edge, J-1 program support, employment verification & background checks.
  • Assist with new Team Member orientation planning, communications, and delivery.
  • Responds to unemployment claims in a timely manner and partners with the HR Manager when needed.
  • Benefits program support with new enrollment notification and education, coordinating benefits enrollment sessions, approve benefits changes and completes hours reports.
  • Maintain confidential Team Member information.
  • Good working knowledge of Desktop OS and the Ascentis HR System, including reporting functions.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

 

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Hospitality and Guest Service experience preferred 2-3 years.
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in an HR support role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Multi-tasking ability required.
  • Currently have or be pursuing either a bachelor’s or associate degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent education a plus.
  • Previous experience and proficient with Ascentis or comparable Human Capital Management System preferred.
  • Core schedule will be Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm PST on property.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
