What You Will be Doing
We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The Scheduling and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the online scheduling of employee shifts and yearly training, initiating coverage procedures, updating departmental documents and software, and maintaining an accurate listing of open shifts for the Supported Living department.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Developing monthly Supported Living (SL) employee schedules to be posted by the 15th day of each month in coordination with Residential Managers.
- Receiving and relaying call off notices from SL employees during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; assisting in finding coverage for call offs by immediately communicating with available employees via the Google Voice texting system.
- Communicating call-offs, daily schedule changes, and other needs to SL Managers and Supervisors in a timely manner.
- Organizing call log entries; tracking employee occurrences; ensuring employees enter PTO for their absences; tracking FML call-offs on HR documents.
- Collaborating with SL Managers to coordinate coverage for shifts resulting from employee use of PTO/FMLA.
- Maintaining all home schedules in an accurate and timely manner.
- Processing PTO/FMLA requests in ADP from SL employees within two business days of submittal; adding approved absences to the schedule; posting unavailable PTO days online.
- Maintaining SL employee compliance in required training (CPR, First Aid, Med Admin, G-Tube, and Insulin); ensuring training sessions are scheduled and posted by the 15th day of the month, when possible; rescheduling missed training sessions.
- Orienting new employees with processes, software (WhenToWork, ADP), and SL guidelines.
- Making all edits and additions in SL software and documents.
- Acting as a point-of-contact for employees’ questions and referring questions as needed.
- Earning and/or maintaining certifications in first aid; and CPR-adult, child, and infant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and proof of auto insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills – including spreadsheets and word processing tools – and ability to learn new programs expeditiously
Preferred Education/Qualifications
- Three years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities
Required Licensure/Certification
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance, insurable driving record (five points or fewer)
