The purpose of Chartwell is to aid individuals with autism spectrum and related disorders by providing educational services and therapy, and by offering training and support to parents, teacher, and other professionals. HIRING BONUS -This position also includes a $1,000 sign on bonus! $250 at hire, $250 after 60 days, $250 after 120 days, $250 at 6 months. Must be hired from 12/2 to 12/22, this only applies to BCBA's that are in Region 1 (New Orleans).  Must be employed at time of pay out and if you leave prior to the full payout, the signing bonus will be deducted from your last paycheck Job Description (include, but are not limited to):The BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills. A BCBA will also oversee programming of associate behavior analysts and provide ongoing support and supervision to ABA Therapist’s as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Behavior Support Plans. Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of ABA Therapist and Interventionists (if applicable) Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching. Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals. Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors. Work collaboratively with staff and families to promote positive student behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support staff in their implementation of positive support Create ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all consumers, and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming. Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behavior(s). Meet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when necessary. Review and sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary. Provide consultation services and to maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies). Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between staff and families, and to provide ongoing feedback to government related agencies that contract with such families. Perform other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Requirements: Master's Degree in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology or related discipline Current Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, as certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Experience with obtaining service authorizations is preferred current credentialing with the Louisiana Medicaid system Preferred - Classroom teaching experience, social worker or psychologist. Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff Experience working with various funding streams and other third party sources Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and flexible hours Proficient in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases Understanding and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients in all circumstances Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking Good inter-personal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety socioeconomic and cultural groups Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm, and an ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner Demonstrates sound business judgement and is supportive of the mission and objectives Understands the licensing and contractual framework of the organization   Qualifications: A commitment to fulfill the school’s mission and vision A passion for helping children and adults with learning differences Experience working with children and/or adults with autism Familiarity with lesson design and implementation The desire to be part of a true Professional Learning Community Flexibility, patience, perception and empathy A “Can-Do” attitude A strong desire to increase instructional efficacy by receiving and implementing feedback An unwavering commitment to help each of our young learners excel behaviorally, academically, emotionally and socially Easterseals Louisiana is a Drug-Free Workplace, pre-employment and random drug tests will be administered.
