We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

Pay $ 16.25 - $ 20.00 an hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess exemplary work ethics, good verbal, communication skills, and the desire and ability to work around and with seniors. Must have an excellent driving record and a valid State driver’s license. Must be able to life, pull, push, carry 50 pounds. Must be able to about the facility quickly and be able to physically assist residents and/or staff in event of emergency. Must be able to climb ladder to access attic and roof of building. Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

 
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

Must have basic handyman skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform and maintain records on routine preventative maintenance of building systems, equipment and safety systems in accordance with company policy and procedures, local municipality requirements, and State licensing requirements as instructed.
  2. Transport residents to and from appointments as instructed.
  3. Assure resident room make-ready is completed timely and to standards, as instructed.
  4. Assist in resident room moves as required.
  5. Perform routine grounds/porch/courtyard maintenance tasks as directed.
  6. Performs routine and as needed cleaning of carpet and upholstery using approved chemicals and equipment, as instructed.
  7. Assure the general appearance of the building is in keeping with company standards.
  8. Attend all meetings and in services as requested.
  9. Be observant and aware of any situations or occurrences in the facility that may pose a safety hazard to residents or staff or visitors.
  10. In conjunction with Executive Director, provide staff development counseling as needed for housekeeping staff.
  11. Perform all tasks in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
  12. Other duties as may be required by Maintenance Director or Executive Director.
