Group Product Manager

Responsible for driving strategic direction, roadmap and feature development from ideation to launch and success validation. You love the challenge of wrapping your head around complex problem spaces, breaking them down into manageable pieces, then ultimately delivering customer-centric solutions that solve the real problem. You’re obsessed with understanding your end users and can balance the varying needs, ideas and timelines of all stakeholders with ease.  Finding and applying just the right amount of process so that your teams and activities run smoothly gets you excited.

Some of the things you will be doing for us:

  • Own the roadmap for your product area by balancing customer, business and market needs and both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Understand complex problems, break them down into manageable pieces and work cross-functionally to propose simple solutions.
  • Know our customer better than anyone else, advocate for them and facilitate a human-centered approach to problem solving and product delivery.
  • Define success then fail fast and iterate quickly.
  • Lead product design and engineering team members to create innovative solutions that are viable, desirable and feasible with daily incremental progress.
  • Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to encourage alignment and transparency particularly around problem clarity, plans, priorities, progress, goals and challenges.
  • Provide a sense of direction, organization and accountability to your development team along with the ability to communicate on a technical level with engineers and designers.
  • Develop the business case for new products, improvements to existing products, and business ventures
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Prepare operations, marketing, sales and support for launch.
  • Be energized by a nascent and evolving team and organization - There is an appetite for change and opportunity for direct impact and growth.
  • Become a subject matter expert in both the product and industry.

Your Skills:

  • 5+ years relevant software product management experience. B2B preferred
  • A deep understanding of user-centered design best practices and tactical methods (particularly research and testing) as well as Scrum product development processes.
  • Experience launching a successful, customer-facing B2B product from ideation.
  • Self-motivated to learn quickly and overcome obstacles to deliver.
  • The ability to make decisions quickly when information is lacking.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities in order to deliver on commitments.
  • Attention to detail and a knack for working cross-functionally to identify risk early. The details aren’t the details, the details are your product.
  • A creative and scrappy approach to process and problem solving. You think outside the box, drive change when sensible and make the most out of what you’ve got.
  • World-class communication skills to advocate for your user, gather buy-in for your strategy, and communicate on a technical level with engineers.
  • Candid, excellent at giving and receiving clear and direct feedback.
  • Demonstrated success via influential leadership.
  • Extra credit – experience building integrations / open API frameworks.

The rest of the stuff:  Compensation $135k-155k+ DOE. Full-time position with complete benefit package including health, 401K, disability, PTO, bereavement, paid parental leave, etc.
