Share Email Opening Title Customer Care Assistant  Description JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Customer Care Manager, assist in training members of the customer care team, resolving difficult issues regarding customer complaints and managing registration. Oversees the booking process for birthday parties and group outings.   Position Customer Care Assistant   Position Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING Associates degree in hospitality, business or related field Minimum two years front line customer service experience Valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Basic computer knowledge and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm Strong organizational skills Inclusive team player with proven ability to collaborate and execute. Strong knowledge of current customer service, database and communication technology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices Knowledge of and skill with phone etiquette Ability to establish a positive rapport by using tact and discretion with clients, participants, visitors and staff An understanding of financial accountability and the skills to accurately handle it Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: Assist in training customer care team members to create an environment for success at the Annerino Community Center, Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex and Pelican Harbor Indoor Aquatic Complex. Assist in collecting daily receipts, recording them accurately and appropriately, and depositing per procedure Resolve difficult issues regarding customer complaints and other matters Work minimum two hour shifts at each facility for training and as needed to understand operations of each facility Responsible for customer care audits of resident IDs, cash balancing and membership agreements Generate monthly Customer Care Newsletter. Update Customer Care Representative manuals and resources. Oversee the booking process for all Bolingbrook Park District parties and group outings which include invoicing and food ordering. Attend all department meetings and training sessions as scheduled Abide by the Bolingbrook Park District dress code for your area Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Bolingbrook Park District safety program Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments   Marginal Functions: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patrons and employees. Follow, administer and implement district policies and crisis management procedures. Ability to plan, direct and supervise staff. Ability to master computer programs. Must be able to work and relate to other people in a professional manner. Must have good safety awareness and judgment.
