The Position

The clinical team at FSA is growing, and we are adding a new position! The LCSW Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to clinical staff throughout the agency. The LCSW Clinical Supervisor may also be responsible for overseeing FSA’s social work intern program.

The LCSW Clinical Supervisor has the opportunity to be based out of any of FSA’s offices in Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Lompoc, or Santa Barbara.

Sample Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Participate in regular individual meetings with the Behavioral Health Program Director.

  2. Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff as needed within Santa Barbara County in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements. Staff will be at varying stages of their LCSW and LMFT licensure pursuits, and may work within a variety of agency programs and with clients of all ages.

  3. Provide case consultation for licensed staff as needed.

  4. Communicate regularly with program managers and supervisors regarding clinical matters pertaining to staff and/or programs supervised collaboratively by both.

  5. Assist program managers/supervisors in interviewing and selecting candidates for open clinical positions as needed.

 

Oversight of Intern Program (if applies)

  1. Serve as liaison to universities contracting with FSA, and ensure FSA’s compliance with university intern program requirements.

  2. Serve as primary contact for intern inquiries, and oversee intern screening and interviewing.

  3. Work with FSA managers/supervisors to match interns with FSA internship opportunities.

 
Position Requirements

Employment Requirements:

  1. Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Minimum of two years as a licensed clinician.
  2. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
  3. Meets requirements of BBS for clinical supervisors of pre-licensed clinicians.
  4. Experience required with clinical supervision for ASWs and AMFTs as well as knowledge of current clinical practices regarding services to clients at all stages of life.
  5. Valid automobile insurance and a valid California Driver License are required.
  6. Reliable transportation is necessary to travel throughout Santa Barbara County as needed.

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate:

  1. This position is part-time (10 hours per week), non-exempt, with limited benefits. Benefits include: a 403(b) retirement plan. Generous sick leave also offered.
  2. Pay is dependent on experience.
