Production Control Planner  


Role & Responsibilities
Reports to a Material Manager
• Responsible for all activities within a defined Business Unit related to setting goals and objectives that ensure overall integration of manufacturing and planning policies, processes and systems that maximize operational effectiveness
• Ensure maximum utilization of available manufacturing capacity, labor loading and capacity requirements
• Responsible for creating a weekly/monthly schedule for assigned product lines
• Reviews schedules to ensure materials are available according to schedules
• Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production
• Communicate production status to Managers on a timely basis.
• Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences.


  • Prefer a 4-year degree in Business or related field, plus a minimum of 2 years direct industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in our ERP (Epicor)



Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constrains, and will at times be required to work with some chemicals and bonding agents.  Ability to lift and manipulate 25 pound objects, sometimes overhead.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
