Seeking to hire a full - time Administrative Support in the PESP department

Job summary

  • Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) administrative and clerical support in the screening center, located in Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Paramus, NJ, assisting consumers (over the telephone and in person) and is responsible for insurance verifications, and billing of all PESP services
  • Ensures documentation for billing/statistics is in chart for accuracy and chart compliance
  • Use of electronic health record, Evolv NX and virtual kiosk software to ensure consumers receive and complete required forms prior to appointments
  • Billing, insurance verifications, enrollments and discharges (data entry)
  • Processes incoming referrals: logging into system, distribution, assignment and checks eligibility for Medicaid Benefits
  • Maintains files, which includes typing of data, the opening and closing of case files at termination
  • Office maintenance – Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of office systems and work space and assures office equipment is working properly i.e. copy machine, fax, telephones and computers or contacts necessary repair personnel to fix the problem
  • Monitors and assures there is an adequate supply of forms, office supplies, and PPE supplies available for all staff
  • Flexibility to meet program needs Monday – Sunday, days/early evenings, as needed
  • Assures departmental goals and/or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame by performing the following duties personally
  • Fulfills diverse professional responsibilities and attends meetings and training as required or requested
  • Works well and professionally with public, consumers, staff, and management
  • Collaborates as a member of an interdisciplinary team, including but not limited to active participation in team meetings; provides support for team colleagues.
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team and support management Team
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one year of administrative experience.
  • Experience with insurance verification and billing
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, and must be insurable under Agency’s automobile insurance policy.
  • To perform this job successfully, and individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and experience using electronic health records database software
  • Bilingual preferred
