Pay Range: $15.00 to $17.00 an hour. Based on your education, experience, and credentials

Community ABA positions are located all throughout Franklin County. 

Flexible Schedules are available between 8 am-9 pm.

What You Will be Doing 
The primary responsibility of a Community ABA Behavior Technician is to work with children and young adults diagnosed with autism, behavioral health, and/or intellectual disabilities, and provide interventions to support the individuals to function safely and more independently. Behavior Technicians help with the implementation of behavior plans and provide behavioral support to families, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  Services may be delivered during the day, evening, and/or weekend based upon the consumer's needs. Services may be delivered during the day, evening, and/or weekend based upon the individual’s needs, and may be provided in the home and/or community. Staff will receive supervision through on-site observation and feedback, case consultation, and team meetings.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

  • Help teach social, vocational, and daily living skills
  • Engage individuals with various activities
  • Implement behavior plan
  • Provide behavior support to family
  • Collect data on behaviors and activities

Minimum Education/Qualifications 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and in writing 

Required Licensure/Certification:

  • First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance, insurable driving record (five points or fewer).

Preferred Education/Experience 

  • College Degree in related field
  • 3 years or more of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 

Special Skills and Requirements 

  •  Ability to complete training
  • Utilize that information in daily therapies
  • Ability to perform emergency medical procedures when necessary
  • Ability to accurately document required therapy data
  • Always operates and conducts self in a professional manner.
  • Ability to hear and speak spoken language in communication with   individuals served, other staff, family members of individuals, and members of the public
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback and constructive criticism in teaching, overall job operations
  • Intermediate computer skills
