The Instructor is responsible for the delivery of approved intercompany courses and Industrial specific courses for which the Instructor holds valid accreditation. The list of courses an instructor can deliver is at the discretion of DXP | HSE Integrated and can include industry standard courses and internal HSE Integrated courses designed for employees only.
This postion will report to the Station Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Arrive for work well groomed, alert and on time
- Strict adherence to the guidelines governing the preparation and delivery of course content, practical scenarios, and document control as found and/or presented in;
- The Instructor course certification process (TTT)
- HSE Integrated and 3rd party training policy and administrative manuals
- Flexibility to travel to other HSE stations and/or client sites to deliver courses, often with limited notice from direct supervisor
- Perform scheduled inventory of supplies and/or assets associated with the Training Department
- Provide scheduled written feedback on course content/delivery and methods to improve the overall participant experience
- Classroom areas (theory and practical) and associated equipment will be maintained in a clean and orderly manner prior to the start, during delivery, at breaks and upon completion of the course
- Ensure the classrooms have adequate space and seating, that there is a sufficient supply of course materials and equipment/assets to deliver course and that all equipment has been inspected and functional for safe use
- All course paperwork must be completed and submitted per company and/or program provider guidelines
- Strong focus on customer service as it relates to the participant experience before, during and upon completion of the course
- Always represent HSE professionally while instructing and interacting with client's or co-workers
- If a company vehicle has been assigned to an instructor, they will follow the same standard of requirements for vehicles as all other HSE Integrated employees
- Assist with general cleaning duties and replenishing of supplies in common areas as required
- Perform all other tasks assigned by the direct Supervisor
Employees Safety Responsibilities
- Be familiar with and work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
- Take reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
- Report to HSE Integrated supervision and management immediately any incident or condition believed to be hazardous to worker's health or safety
- Refuse the work if danger is imminent or not controlled
