Workforce Development Coordinator needed for full-time, temp to hire position in Philadelphia.

Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

The Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of workforce service activities and day-to-day delivery of employment readiness and job attainment direct services. The Workforce Development Coordinator will develop, plan and implement a comprehensive, ready to work model for unemployed/underemployed individuals which includes customized interventions across three tracks: (1) Intensive coaching and other short term specialized services culminating indirect job placement; (2) Work-based training models with earning components such as on-the-job training, paid work experience, paid internships and apprenticeships; (3) Accelerated skills training along a career pathway to middle and high skilled jobs.

Position Requirements

BSW - Previous experience, training, knowledge about workforce development, candidate screening, and project management. Experience developing and implementing workforce development strategies for employed/underemployed individuals preferred. Strong organizational, presentation, and writing skills. Excellent customer service and listening skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database software. Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem-solve and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadlines; and willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
