- Ability to design all parts/assemblies with logical and efficient manufacturability as well as assembly in mind
- Ability to learn and effectively follow all company processes and procedures
- Create easily adaptable models and assemblies with proper model organization, constraints, and metadata
- Proficient all aspects of drafting
- Strong knowledge of requirements related to equipment design and installation
- Ability to reverse-engineer as needed
- Working knowledge of wire run lists, block diagrams, and schematics (previous experience designing cables and/or simple PCBs a big plus)
- Self-motivated, self-starter and fast learner able to take direction from multiple sources
- Ability to work well in a team environment and possesses a keen sense of responsibility within a team
- Capable of not only working in a fast-paced environment with pressure and tight deadlines, but thriving in this type environment
- Communicative and quick to raise issues and/or offer solutions
- Organized and detail-oriented
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science: Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 2+ years of experience in related field. Electrical experience is a big plus.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must speak English.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to problem solve and come up with effective solutions.
Computer Skills:
Autodesk Suite and/or SolidWorks Suite (SolidWorks preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project (a plus), SharePoint (a plus), Altium (a plus), ability to search for parts/components, spec sheets, etc. via internet
