The Senior Accountant serves as a critical component of our general ledger team, with duties customarily comprised of the following general accounting functions:

  • Preparation and/or review of journal entries, accrual schedules and related account reconciliations as part of an efficient month-end close process
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, supporting disclosures, and other related outputs
  • Assist in the annual financial statement audit as well as the Company’s audit of internal controls over financial reporting (both internal and external)
  • Assist in the design and preparation of annual departmental budgets
  • Maintaining related subledgers, as appropriate
  • Analytically review financial data for potential errors or trends
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure departmental leadership is equipped with accurate and timely financial information necessary for effective decision making
  • Assist in certain tax and other regulatory filing requirements

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors, specific responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Accurately prepare and post journal entries
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Assist in the timely month-end and year-end close of the general ledger
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Assist in sales tax and B&O tax preparation and filing
  • Annual business license compliance
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly commission

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or similar certifications, a plus
