Outpatient Therapist needed for full-time, temporary position in Philadelphia County.
To provide social and psychotherapeutic services to adults with substance abuse problems and/or mental illness. Clinical responsibility for the treatment, management, and continuity of therapeutic care for individuals with substance abuse problems and/or mental illness.
Maintain clinical responsibility for the treatment of adults and children with substance abuse problems and/or mental illness. Provide diagnostic and bio-psycho-social assessments, intake evaluations, and treatment planning. Perform individual, group, and family/couple's therapy. Interact with psychiatrists and therapists to provide continuity of care for program participants.
Incorporate evidence-based treatment services, i.e., cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc. into treatment practices. Utilize community resources and organizations to assist program participant integration into the community. Facilitate referrals to appropriate internal and/or external resources where indicated. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence and utilize trauma-informed services relevant to the needs of program participants. Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education. Maintain productivity level as delineated by the administration. Perform other duties as assigned.
