Summary

Responsible for the assembly of mechanical and electrical components such as sheet metal assemblies, wire kits, coax cable assemblies, MIL Circular, Discrete, Quadrax  assemblies according to drawing specifications. Have an understanding of various quality requirements including but not limited to WHMA / IPC standards, Boeing, Airbus and customer specific standards. Requires an understanding of Wire Cutting, Wire Preparation, and Wire Crimping departments to ensure quality of work product.

  • Individual will assemble finished products using sub-assemblies parts, fasteners, and pack in designated carton according to specific procedures, drawings, work instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with the assistance of a calculator.
  • Ability to cut wires to length by hand per specified process sheets, work instructions, and drawing  dimensions.
  • Ability to read and understand units of measure (Inches, Feet), ability to understand, add and subtract fractional units of measure in inches and feet.
  • Ability to properly use various hand tools and semi-automated tools (Crimpers, screwdrivers, continuity testers) and understand the quality requirements of their use
  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts and screws.
  • Follow company policy, procedures and documentation as requires by ISO.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Team Leads or Supervisors.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/9001/14000/13485 and AS9100 processes.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Exhibit manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to read drawings and assemble Basic Sheet metal, Coax Cable, MIL Circular and Discrete assemblies with limited supervision.      
  • 2 years' experiece in electronechanical assembly.
