Share Email Opening Title Director of Utility Operations   Description Oversees the daily operations of natural gas, water, wastewater, utility locate, asphalt, water treatment and wastewater treatment. Projects the budgets for these areas and follow up on issues. Handles all disciplinary actions in the Operations Departments. Provides direct management over department superintendents and affected area of service. Works with superintendents to develop, plan and implement goals and objectives. Works with superintendents to develop and manage annual department budgets. Insures that all departments are working within their budgets.   Position Requirements Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience desired. Experience in preparation and management of operational and capital budgets desired. Personnel development and management skills a must. Must be able to develop a cohesive team and provide necessary motivation. Should have knowledge and experience in developing and negotiating contracts and agreements. Communication skills including public speaking desired. Should have knowledge and experience of public utilities.   Physical/Environmental Requirements Mobility to work in typical office settings using standard office equipment is required. In addition, vision to read printed materials and computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
