The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. Welcoming visitors from Los Angeles and around the world, the Museum works in active partnership with motion picture artists and specialists, scholars, staff, and diverse communities to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema, inspiring discourse, connection, joy, and discovery.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Warehouse Manager will assist in the flow and management of back-of-house operations along with the training and development of our stock associates. This position will require work to be completed both at our off-site warehouse and the Museum.

You Will:

  • Lead and execute back-of-house operations, including receiving in, ticketing, and storing product.
  • Properly load and drive a standard cargo van.
  • Be trained and certified to drive a forklift.
  • Communicate retail operations information to retail management and delegate back-of-house tasks to stock associate.
  • Transfer product from our off-site warehouse to the Museum store on a routine basis.
  • Maintain a neat and organized back-of-house to avoid loss/shrinkage.
  • Complete all required ongoing training (e.g., security training, audience engagement and collection training, visitor orientation training, and product information training).
  • Monitor inventory levels of the store and warehouse to ensure all product is represented in the store.
 
Position Requirements

You Have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.
  • A valid California Driver License and be a minimum of 25 years or older.
  • 1+ years of experience with retail stock operations.
  • 1+ years of experience managing stock team.
  • The ability to effectively communicate.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Other Requirements:

  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable.

The expected base salary range for this role is $64,480 to $66,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
