LaForce is looking for a driven individual to consult with property and facilities management on their building needs. LaForce is a leader in door, frame, hardware, security, and building specialty products servicing the commercial construction industry.

In this position you will work directly with the customer to identify needs and offer solutions. Common customers include, but are not limited to, educational and hospital facilities, government and manufacturing.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert opinions, analysis, and recommendations to organizations based on industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot the needs of the customer.
  • Demonstrate value in the products you recommend.
  • Grow customer base through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Travel to customer sites within the metro area to meet with clients and discuss needs.
  • Develop relationships with current customer base.
  • Maintain a fluid line of communication through the quote/order life cycle with internal departments, vendors, and the customer.
  • Continuously learn and expand product knowledge.
  • Meet and exceed sales budget.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in construction, especially positions related to consulting, project management, and solutions providing is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 1-3 years of outside sales experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle basic math problems and read measurement tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest a plus.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Self-starter attitude.
