Title / Position: Treetop Adventure Course (TAC) Attendant

Position type: Seasonal, Full-time and Part-time available; Hourly, Non-Exempt.

Reports to: TAC Supervisor, Mountain Adventure Park (MAP) Manager & Asst. Mgr

Summary: Primary responsibility is assisting in daily operations of the Treetop Adventure Course (TAC), including assisting guests with harnessing, safety, and guest relations. Our ropes course is a key attraction offering our guests five different routes of increasing difficulty. All courses are suspended in the trees requiring dexterity and confidence to navigate. We are looking for energetic staff to assist in making this attraction successful, safe and fun.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The list below best represents the majority of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Bromley Mountain Adventure Park. It is not intended to represent all the tasks.

  • Report for work on time, when scheduled
  • Report for work in proper dress/uniform and groomed appropriately
  • Adhere to all employee rules and regulations
  • Adhere to all applicable safety standards
  • Conducts daily inspections of the TAC or any other rides/attractions assigned
  • Maintain an inventory and proper care of any assigned equipment; including harnesses, carabineers, gloves, etc.
  • Instruct guest on safe and proper method of using ride/attraction
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of the TAC

Perform other duties throughout Bromley as assigned by management

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Must be able to work outside in all types of spring, summer & autumn weather
  • Must be able to work at heights, in exposed areas, using harness and safety equipment
  • Must be personable and willing team player
  • Must project the image required by Bromley
  • Must possess strong people skills and display patience when communicating with people
  • All employees serve as a representative of our company and must display courtesy, respect, tact, and discretion in all interactions with other employees, management, owners, guests, and members of the local community
  • Safety conscious and oriented
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs repeatedly
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily outdoors during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. This includes all forms of weather found in Vermont. This role routinely uses standard climbing equipment such as harnesses, pulleys, descenders, ropes, and belay devices. The ability to work at heights on an elevated and exposed “ropes course” is critical in this position.

Physical Demands:

This is a physically active role requiring several hours of standing, walking, and working outdoors. Upper and lower body strength is necessary to navigate the TAC. Occasionally indoors using computers and phones as well. Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs over uneven terrain.
