Engineering Technician (Mid) - Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Equipment

We are seeking an Engineering Technician (Mid) - Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Equipment to join our team in the Pascagoula, MS, Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA areas. The ideal candidate will:

  • Support the Test Division in test services including installation, light off, software installation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance/repair, integration repair, integration, engineering and technical support for ships at the building yard.
  • Support Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) and associated training equipment.
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • High School Degree/GED
  • 7-14 years' experience with engineering and technical support equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the areas of ship construction or ship repair
  • Amphibious warship ship and/or craft construction or ship repair work experience
  • Experience with DoD/Navy ACAT I Program
  • 7+ year’s relevant experience with troubleshooting, repairing and testing shipboard Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS), Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) and associated training equipment
  • Experience with Amphibious Assault Ship Class Platform
  • Recent (last 3 years) LPD operational SSDS experience
