Adventure Summary

At Brownells and 2nd Adventure we’re seeking team members who have a strong desire to help us connect people to their outdoor passions. In this Demand Planner role, you will be responsible for ensuring all new products are forecasted in a timely manner, and for prioritizing and resolving alerts within our forecasting software. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer support teams will be critical to success in managing capacity and avoiding inventory surpluses and shortages.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review metrics and update forecasts for assigned products
  • Statistically analyze sales forecasts and historic sales data
  • Understand the life cycle of your product or service and how the cycle stages relate to your function
  • Provide product recommendations to stakeholders
  • Maintain forecast models by exception, leveraging system-generated recommendations as well as business intelligence gathered internally and externally
  • Support the onboarding of new products through cross-functional departmental collaboration
  • Navigate through ERP systems with a comfort level in Business Insight reporting
  • Support the Supply Chain department through various data entry, reporting and analysis activities as needed

 

What You Will Need

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 4-year degree in business or related discipline OR 5+ years of supply chain experience

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Purchasing
  • Scheduling techniques
  • Material requirements planning
  • Product and service design
  • Inventory management
  • ERP
  • Supply chain management
  • Intermediate proficiency and knowledge of applicable Microsoft Office software
  • Strong and effective verbal communications
  • Written communications

 

Physical Demands

Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
